Well, I went to order a nice $13 carton and now yesmoke.ch is telling me they don't ship to the US for the time being. Anyone here order smokes from the interenet and have a reliable place?

edit: I live in New York City, so I don't want to pay $7-8 per pack, so I resort to the internet 🙂

Since it is shipped from Switzerland or even Russia sometimes, it would not get past US customs. No cigarettes bearing Phillip Morris or the other bigger brands or not allowed into the country. Even if they use international shipping. There was a act passed in 2000 that addresses this. I would order from a US company.

Off of the Phillip Morris Website...

"Imported Cigarette Compliance Act of 2000, prohibits the importation of cigarettes into the United States bearing registered U.S. trademarks without the authorization of the trademark owner."

"Accordingly, it is not legal to import PM USA-branded cigarettes into the United States, including through international mail or courier, regardless of any statements on Internet sites to the contrary. Cigarettes imported in violation of the ICCA are subject to seizure and destruction."

There's a relaxing neurological response to it (dopamine, norepinephrine?). While not as obvious as being drunk and vomiting, it is soothing. If I'm not smoking, I'm eating so I'll take the smoking over getting fatter and dying. Either way, the end result is the grave so I might as well save a few bucks 🙂 To each his own.
