CiCi's Pizza Buffet

Not biased opinion, as I'm not a struggling college student, cheap, or a pizza snob:

I think their pizza is pretty decent. Their bread products are very good. Their desserts are great. Not a big salad or pasta person, so I can't speak to the quality of those. Definitely worth as much/more than a standard Pizza Hut lunch buffet, especially since Pizza Huts around here end up putting out 3 random topping pizzas every hour for 25 people. CiCi's will never be low on pizza with toppings you enjoy or haven't tried.
 
Bump since I was going to go there tonight in Streamwood IL. Don't know if they've changed in the past 6 months. This place still decent for the $5 or so? I'm in town on business and have never been to one before.
 
You can order custom pizzas there and they will make it and bring it to your table and serve you what you want of it then they put the rest on the buffet. When we went, we ordered 3 of them. That way it's the freshest and you get exactly what you want on it. The pizza isn't the greatest but I wouldn't say it's horrible either.

last time I was there (Cedar Park TX one) they had the best cheese/bread sticks I've ever eaten. They were fresh bread sticks with 2 types of cheese melted on top on then with bits of Canadian bacon sprinkled on top. So damn good.

EDIT: btw the mac and cheese pizza is strangely good.
 
Yea, it's great. We go there for lunch once a week. For some reason they always give us government discounts, even though we don't work for the government.

The mac-n-cheese pizza is great!
 
Wow. Such the range of reviews. Everything from eating sh!t to having nice, fresh, good tasting pizza. heh. GUess I'll just have to try it sometime and see. Ended up at Hooters tonight though. Oh well. 😉
 
The first time I went to CiCi's, I saw employees using the urinal then not washing their hands then going off to handle food, multiple cockroaches running amok across tables and floors, and when I told the manager about it he replied "Did you kill it?" and when I mentioned his the sanitation habits of two of his employees he gave an I don't care type of reply. This was the last time I ever set foot in CiCi's.

Several months later, local station WFTS aired it's weekly "Dirty Dining Report" and sure enough It was the same CiCi's Pizza near the University of South Florida that I had eaten at months earlier. At the time they said it was one of the worst cases they had ever seen (Only the Golden Buddha surpassed them on the filth meter).

As for the taste of the food, it's nasty. Your $5 is better spent on two single slices from a good local NYC, Chicago type , Gourmet, or Italian Immigrant (Pie guy with an accent) Pizzeria.
