Cicadas are annoying

thank god there's no nature in my town.

I was visiting my friends in Central Jersey this weekend and the sound was practically deafening. I didn't visit her house, but a friend was telling me that she's sweeping piles off her driveway into the street every night.

Be glad we do not have these Cicadas:

While their size is intimidating, that's a pretty freaking cool looking bug.

For some reason as a kid it was one of the things I looked forward to the summer for. Always fun to catch.

Not a brood year for us, but we always have a few. Just not yet this year. I grew up in an area without any, so I find them kinda cool
