I bet there's mind blowing evidence in those files.

I see what you did there.

If this was 'cause riots in the streets and reveal that we've been colluding with Russian lizard overlords for 60 years' level of intel, it probably just wouldn't exist.

Right. Someone else mentioned that it will revel that the CIA killed Kennedy, I say even if the CIA did (which I doubt) they would never allow any sort of document to exist, no matter how classified, that could prove it. This is something else. My personal bet is that the CIA had convincing but circumstantial evidence that Lee Harvey Oswald was working on direct orders from Moscow, and are afraid that for this information to come out now would fan the flames of the 'Russia stole the US Election' conspiracy.

But I also think all these docs need to be released now to quell this conspiracy nonsense.

Nothing can ever quell a conspiracy like this. Any evidence provided, no matter how solid, will only be met with suspicion. People still believe that the moon landing was faked.

I see crazy people posting zerohedge and nutso consipriacy nonsense.

Oswald assassinating JFK has been roundly verified by the absolute facts of the case. The CIA was not involved. It's absolutely staggering that this kind of nonsense from the fringe elements persists to this day.

Why are you guys so terrified of the concept of being told things that are actually true?

This coming from a guy that wouldn't know truth from a hole in the ground.

If so, why not release the documents? It happened 52 years ago now.

But anyway, I don't really believe that the CIA assassinated him. It does however seem plausible that a communist power was involved, and the CIA might want that secret to avoid upsetting diplomatic relations and all that.

The other possibility is that the documents reveal that the CIA ought to have taken Oswald in for questioning BEFORE the shooting and didn't.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the CIA specifically prohibited from operating on US soil? So if Oswald should have been brought in beforehand it would have the FBI's screwup if I understand things correctly.

This coming from the guy who is a racist and gets his news and supplements from infowars and posts on stormfront.

I am and I do? Can you give me my username and password? I want to see my posts. Does it hurt to wake up everyday knowing you are really stupid?

I'm not suggesting anything but asking a question...

How does a bullet pass through 2 bodies, hit major bones, come out clean?
As said, it's been replicated. There's an amazing documentary where a shooter makes the same shot so completely identical it erases pretty much all doubt. Same gun, same bullet, same distance, targets of similar material in the exact position- and the bullet created all the same wounds and ended up in nearly identical condition.

The so-called "magic bullet" thing is long disproven nonsense. It's a shame that it persists, because ironically it's one of the things that's least mysterious.

I find the whole subject pretty fascinating though. There are people that take it way too seriously, but I don't see it as anything to get in heated debates over.

I personally have no doubt Oswald was the lone gunman, that there was no one else deliberately shooting. (I do believe it's possible Kennedy was shot accidentally by the Secret Service though. )

What's infinitely more interesting to me is WHO the flying fuck Oswald actually was. I don't believe he was just some random guy- there's so much in his background that's stunning: his whole defection to the Soviet Union then return is some serious WTF?! stuff. His activities leading up to the shooting; Mexico City, New Orleans, then his attempted assassination of a General... lots of WTF!? stuff.

Then before we can truly learn anything about him- he's assassinated himself?

It's more about Oswald himself I'd personally love to know about. No, I don't believe he was part of any conspiracy with other shooters. But I wonder more plausible things- like maybe he tried re-defect to the Soviet Union, but was rejected by the KGB due to being a bit of a loose cannon (some of this from documented stuff that happened = at the Russian Embassy in Mexico City btw) and so then he tried to impress them by assassinating a General (failed) then shooting JFK.

Of course, no way of knowing for sure, but at least to me that's a plausible possibility.

As for new documents- my guess is rather than some smoking gun that would really shed new light on anything, the most damning stuff is merely coverups of incompetence and stuff that would just feed more conspiracies. I think there is evidence the powers that be did some stupid stuff after the assassination that just looks bad. If there's the possibility a Secret Service agent was involved- there may be evidence there.

But I doubt there's anything to be revealed that would be some major new revelation.

I saw on the news this morning that Trump is not going to allow the records to be released in the name of "national security."
