Chuck Norris would have America become a Christian only country where our leaders are directly linked to the church, the Bible and creation are taught in schools, and only those who agree with these principles are free to enjoy what America has to offer.

Isn't that the whole reason America was formed in the first place?

Yes. But the folks who want that to return are too stupid to realize it.

Maybe someone else thinks Chuck Norris's personal opinion matters or is worth following.

As for me, I don't dislike or like Chuck Norris, but Chuck's personal opinions carry very little weight with me.

Like pretty much every actor/actress/celebrity. I am not very interested in what these people have to say. Being a celebrity is not a real credential.

Typical conservative psychopathic thinking, that the enemy you have to close ranks against are the people who can still reason. Save the nation by destroying it's capacity to make rational non altered reality decisions. Conservatives remind me of Covetous Shen, delighted by their life inside a barrel.

Actually, guys...I just wanted to see if anyone would comment on his wifes assertation that not voting for the other party would lead our children into the beginning of "1,000 years of Darkness".

To me, that is pure comedic and religious psycho gold.

They want Christians to vote, but they are telling the Christians that if they don't vote republican, the Devil will pretty much consume the entire US.

I'm still waiting to find out what Obama's done that's even remotely socialist.

Or we could back to the empty chair speech by Clint Eastwood a week or so before.

As the semi univeral public reaction to the the Clint Eastwood speech could be summed up as Clint Eastwood, is a hell of a good actor, but as a political comminator Clint simply had no political credibility. Just more added political noise, sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Why should Chuck Norris expect anything better. And in terms of hollywood acting cred, Eastwood is simply way way better than Chuck Norris.

Since you're such a whiny little bed wetter of lefty and don't have the fucking balls to post what he or his wife said or make a comment about it, i'll do it for you.

Next time you post a topic try to grow a pair.

It's a political ad by Chuck Norris and his wife urging Christians to vote. It' gets attacked by religious bigots who hate anything or anyone that is connected to religion.

it gets attacked because he:

--thinks obama is a socilaist (lmfao!)
--they proclaim "1000 years of darkness will descend upon us" if something is not done to prevent Obama's reelection.

Chuck Norris is attacked because he is a certifiable crackpot. Period.

SHUT YOUR ENTIRE MOUTH!!

This is chuck norris, not some old dumbass like Romney, this is a REAL American.

I think this ad shows that Chuck Norris has begun to lose it, he is 72 afterall. But kudos on this post man, this cracked me up.

Yes, but todays Christians would love nothing more than to run a christian dictatorship. They want their morals and beliefs to trump everyone elses.

That's the part I was hoping to see in here. Total let down. :(

Chuck's religious and historical nonsense is duly noted, summarily dismissed. He really should stick to making commercials, cameos, and looking brittle (I don't blame him for that, guys had a lot of injuries in his career).

First Eastwood, now Norris. I guess the GOP is really trying to maintain that strangle hold on befuddled old white men on the brink of senility.

Ugh, at least Clint's an awesome director.

"1000 years of darkness"... hehehe

God I love predictions from the religious right!

actually, Clint wasn't first. 'ol Chuck's been parading his batshittery around for many years now. do you remember his comical endorsement of Huckabee? :D

also, I don't think Clint is so much a "republican" as he is thoroughly annoyed with Obama right now. It's really unfair to compare the two. I think if you put Clint and Chuck in a room together, and Chuck starts parrotting this end of the world religious cockamamey horseshit, Clint would probably just stare him down until Chuck is a crying worthless mess. Then Clint would probably kick Chuck in the gut, for good measure.

I don't really care what Chuck Norris thinks about things, BUT it's interesting to me that someone who has been pretty successful in life has managed to achieve that while being able to believe wildly ridiculous things about politics in the United States.

Someone like Chuck Norris believing Obama being reelected would be "the triumph of evil" is different than Rush Limbaugh or some random dude on the Internet. Rush's entire success is based around being (or pretending to be) completely insane when it comes to politics. And the random guy on the Internet is probably either just trying to get a reaction out of people or legitimately stupid.

But Chuck Norris managed to do alright for himself in life, which suggests his brain is more or less working OK. And somehow that hasn't managed to protect him from taking one of the more extreme and ridiculous positions in modern politics. That's both interesting and scary to me, since it shows the broad range of people who are willing to buy into extreme positions for one reason or another.

celebrities are crazy, insane and add no value to life in general. at least...that's the republican mantra when it comes to those "weirdos in Hollyweird!"

Oh wait...except for guys like Chuck Norris, who clearly aren't crazy, and clearly present a very sound argument...if you ask most republicans.

Actually I was speaking in terms of this election, sadly I am aware of Chuck's slide into the batshit. Normally I wouldn't dare to compare anyone as talented or cool as Eastwood to an evangelical nut that sounds like his grey matter isn't getting quite enough oxygen.

I hear you about Clint's partisan convictions, in fact I believe part of the reason he did...whatever that was at the RNC, was to reaffirm that he isn't "with" Obama, and certainly didn't do a car commercial supporting Obama and the Dems. Obama's tax changes probably didn't please him either though.

One major difference I know for sure about between Clint and Chuck is that Clint is very socially progressive. He supports LBGT rights in general and same-sex marriage in particular. Chuck, on the other hand, was a vocal proponent of Prop 8 in California.

If you vote for Barack Obama, there will be one thousand years of darkness and socialism. So says it Chuck Norris, so says it be done.

Is it really? Let's check this thread:

2: Opinion presented, nothing really to discuss
3: Someone agrees with Chuck Norris, nothing of value added to discussion
4: Same as 2
5: Should put down the bottle and sober up. Second comment stating obvious then implying that who doesn't like CN's opinion is a bigot.
6: Anti-religion
7: Saying 6 is anti-religion
8: Agreeing with 7
9: Stating that this is a discussion, implication being a reasoned debate.
10: Saying that Chuck Norris is a radical extremist, nothing of value added to discussion
11: This guy may actually be inciting a discussion!
12: Attacking 5
13: Sarcastic comments re: 9

I'm not seeing much discussion here.

Personally I don't see anything from the video that's worthy of discussion. He may as well have said "Obama is evil, don't vote Obama". I also find it a bit weird that he is specifically trying to encourage Christians to vote; some may draw their own conclusions as to why. In a reasoned debate, people would either be trying to coax a point out of him that's worthy of debate or raising their eyebrows, saying "Riiigh-t... moving on!".
LOL

My only problem with evangelicals claiming freedom is disappearing is that all too often they are interested in only the freedom to be like them. I have a lot more in common with evangelicals than with your average gay man, but I see no need to constrict his freedom to marry, or my neighbor's freedom to smoke weed or view pornography. (Or view weed and smoke pornography.) Freedom should be the ability to freely order your life as you please as long as you don't directly disadvantage me, or put me in danger, or ask me to pay for your lifestyle.

You have the right to believe what you want. I have the right to laugh at you publicly for those beliefs.

Don't like it don't believe in fairytales.

That must be why the DNC put "God" back into the platform......over the delegates objections.

http://news.yahoo.com/democrats-change-platform-add-god-jerusalem-211928130--election.html

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Needled by Mitt Romney and other Republicans, Democrats hurriedly rewrote their convention platform Wednesday to add a mention of God and declare Jerusalem the capital of Israel after President Barack Obama intervened to order the changes.

The embarrassing reversal was compounded by chaos and uncertainty on the convention floor. Three times Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the convention chairman, called for a voice vote on the changes and each time the yes and no votes seemed to balance each other out. On the third attempt, Villaraigosa ruled the amendments were approved — triggering boos from many in the audience.
