Chrysler unveils Dodge EV

That's actually a pretty good looking car. If they can keep the price well below the Tesla's I think it'll do reasonably well.

Kind of cool.

Not a lot of details though, is the body carbon fiber, price, etc.

If they could get these down to less than $50K they would sell a hell of a lot of them.

My guess is that they will cost more than the Tesla unless they sell at a loss, since the Tesla is based on the cheaper Elise and the Dodge is based on the more expensive Europa.

Has anyone seen any real world feedback on Tesla in cold weather? Specifically battery performance.

Knowing chrysler it'll...
A) never come out
B) too expensive
C) never come out

Anyone remember that little dodge roadster with the srt4 engine? What about that rwd demon... that magically became fwd later. Not gonna happen imo.

Imagine in 15-20 years when many more electric cars are commercially available and we begin using wind and solar power for electricity.

We can tell the entire Middle East to fuck off and DIAF.

(except Israel cuz Jeebus was born there)

Latest stories are that Chrysler unveiled this car as they were stumping for loans from the government. So it's a pretty obvious ploy to win sympathy and/or make the company look worthy of a loan alongside GM. Especially since GM keeps saying the loan would go towards developing alternative energy vehicles like the Volt. That's doesn't mean the project isn't worthy of a loan, but the unveiling of this car at this particular time was no coincidence.

Amen and Hallelujah!

Another story with a video on the page.

Looks like some will have a motor for each wheel. and I like the sports car, looks better than the production volt that chevy showed off.

Couldn't care less; retarded just like the Tesla. They are doing this because they cannot make economical electric cars, so this is a distraction. I know chrysler mentioned a minivan and jeep. Those interest me. This is ridiculous, like diet coke at an all you can eat pizza party.

Am I the only one excited about a series hybrid minivan??

There was a blurb about a full EV version of the town and country, and an "extended range" version that would have a primary Electric Motor with a small gas generator.

And they run our country!

Ya because it wasn't designed by Dodge. Unfortunately we have troubles in that department!
