It makes me think of this:

I like it though and look forward to seeing them on the lots! 🙂

I don't think I could stand having the giant "Fiat" symbol screaming at me from the steering wheel. Every company does it, but at least a Ford / Chevy / Hyundai / Honda / Toyota / etc. badge doesn't seem to stand out as much. Seriously, that thing looks like it's waiting for me to blink so it can punch me in the face... with the air bag.

The gauge cluster looks... interesting. I think having two needles so close together would be distracting, though.

I've actually seen a bunch of these on the road around Metro Detroit, hell saw one in red just last week. Decent looking car in person. Small yes, but nothing horribly so and distinctive enough to be noticed but not in a bad way.

This should sell much better just because it doesn't have a Chrysler badge. Just like the Pontiac Vibe/Toyota Matrix and the Toyota version selling much better.

While on paper it looks like it will be a decent enough car the styling on the front looks very meh. It's not distinctive at all.

Looks better than the Smart ForTwo, and probably a better value. I bet the (BMW) Mini Cooper will seem big compared to this Fiat though.

They've been around here in the UK for a few years. Pretty cool little cars. Here's hoping you get the Arbarth SS version tuned up to 180hp.

Not really comparable, as there is no Chrysler version of this car (I get what you're saying, but plenty of the people buying the Matrix probably weren't the type to check out Pontiacs by going to their lots anyway, this will actually be on Chrysler lots). I actually think that will possibly be the biggest issue is people are going to want this car, but they're either going to not understand where to get it or are going to be turned off by having to go through Chrysler (then again, this should appeal to plenty of the same people that bought into the PT Cruiser early on, and should be a much better car than it, although with considerably less utility). Won't be an issue eventually when Fiat and its subsidiaries really get back in the US, but I think it could be a problem early on. It will actually probably benefit Chrysler more as it'll get people to go to their lots more.

Hmm, looks like they're requesting dealers to build Fiat showrooms and some dealers mentioned basically taking over Saturn lots, so they might get good enough differentiation after all.

The comparison will make the Chrysler cars look bad, though. Unless they improve them like they improved the Grand Cherokee, I don't see the comparisons helping Chrysler models any.

It's of comparable size to the mini actually, and supposedly has slightly more room in the back. It looks smaller in the photos than it is. Suppose to drive nicely though.

If it sells well enough it's been hinted we just might 😀

engine and trans specs?

Not known yet, likely to be similar to the 1.4l producing I think around 130-140hp. Should make it fairly similar to the standard mini cooper.
