I am thinking about purchasing it. Is it a straight port? What enhancements/extra's does the NDS offer?

arrgh: please move to console and gaming...

It offers enough to make me consider buying it (though I don't own a DS), but not enough to be considered a remake. I'm glad they changed Crono's element to Light to match the japanese version (Heaven) more closely, since it never did make sense why Luminaire was considered a lightning attack.

Very cool.

They need to just come out with another Chrono Trigger already and do it right. Chrono Cross was awful. This is a gold mine that they are just sitting on and I have no clue why.

Ahh. I thought it was remade in 3D or something (ala FF3.) I may still pick this up when it starts appearing used. (Although I'd probably only save like 5 dollars...lol)

I went out and bought a DS and The game. I am enjoying the hell out of it, I loved the game when I was younger.

The enhancements aren't that big of a deal but make the overall better. like the tech screen is at the bottom so it clears up some space to see the battles.

I can't believe they're charging $40 for what isn't much more than a port. At least I could see spending $40 on FFIV which actually had some damn decent development time put into it to change from 2D to 3D... it felt like I was spending money on something different rather than the fact that I have Chrono Trigger for the SNES and the PSX already.

Sigh @ Squaresoft milking a good game (like usual).
