[Potential Spoiler Alert !!]

I think anyone can tell what category I'm in. The SNES version was a classic and THE MOST memorable game I've ever played. Since those days, I've become a staple Final Fantasy addict. (I've never played Dragon Quest though...)

I missed out on the Playstation remake when it came out.

Any idea if they'll put in the FMV's into the DS port? Also, what's your favorite ending in the game, guys (or gals)?

Mine was the scene with Chrono and Marle floating into the sky hanging onto those balloons. It was SSOOOOOO sweeeeeettt!!! I think I might have shed a tear or two when I saw it back then. (The thought still makes my chest sqirm !)

(Before anyone asks, Dekar is my favorite character from Lufia2 on the SNES, another wonderful game with a terrific ending !!)

Yeah, I was teary-eyed too. In fact, I was touched soo much with that ending that I recorded it. That along with my favorite CT ending. I lost count how many times I've seen them both. (Perhaps I should make a list of all the endings I've recorded? ... it would be a monumental undertaking considering how many I have and across all the media it's in too... -sigh- )

I've played Chrono Trigger a handful of times but have never actually finished it. :( I may pick this up eventually although I have the PS1 version.

For the DS? I doubt it because they had to add all of the coding in for the second screen and adjust resolutions (which probably meant re-drawing some sprites) and one of the big problems with the PS1 version is that they just had the game run on an emulator, which made for horribly slow load times.

The only thing they are taking from PS1 is the cutscenes. The gameplay is SNES port at least according to everything I've read about it.

potential spoiler?

I think I finished it in every possible way. Including the "just go in and beat the boss when you just start the game and head to the festival" way. :)

I wouldn't mind playing the DS version, but I think I have enough to play right now. :(

Hadn't even heard about this, but I am not keeping up on new releases these days. When is it supposed to be out?

It's supposed to be out sometime in November. That's what I heard. Around 23rd, I think, but I can be off by a week or so. ;)

Me, I don't think I'll get enough of this title. My biggest problem is finding the money for it and all the X'mas gifts I need to get for my folks.

How long does the game take to beat? I don't know how much time I want to sit with my DS playing an RPG but I feel like I should try this out.

I think you can do it in about 10 or 15 hours but there's a ton of replay value and side quests and multiple endings.

there is suppose to be an additional new ending in this version as well, as well as an unlockable music jukebox, enemy profile, dungeon, fmv player, and a few other things. I'll be buying this for long plane rides.

An excellent game, can't wait for the remake...and can someone help me out on this, what ending do you get when you start the game on New Game + and beat the game with just Crono and Marle, because I have done that before but cannot remember the ending since technically you have not met any characters...

*SPOILERS*

In the new game+, at the fair in the beginning where you meet Marle, the teleporter will send you to 65mil B.C. or whatever to battle Lavos before you meet any of the other characters.

The ending you get is the "The Dream Project" ending. It gives you a chance to talk with the game developers.

My memory was refreshed from here.

If you're new to the game, do NOT click the above link. It's the worst kind of plot-spoiler you can get.

absolutely loved CT. played it again a few months ago and it definitely has stood the test of time in terms of graphics, sound, and gameplay. This may be the final push for me to go and buy that DS that I was holding off on...
