Chronic unfixable hand, wrist, forearm problems

Twenty years ago I did an overuse injury to both my arms - a kind of bush-clearing activity. I worked fairly intensively (maniac style) doing something I was completely unused to for approx 5 hours on each of two consecutive days. I got acute tendinitis on top of my left wrist at the time and the extensor muscles were quite sore and never showed any sign of healing. I also have a chronically sore neck and a variety of upper arm muscle problems and a few other muscle problems due to something else stupid that I did a long time ago.

My hand, fingers, wrists and forearm muscles and tendons (both flexor and extensor) are sore and don't cope very well with strenuous physical activity such as trying to massage myself. I've had lots of massage which gives short term improvement.

Has anyone heard of chronic forearm problems like this that are really really hard to fix?

Left forearm injury doing preacher curls. A year later was still only about 25%. Thought it was just tendonitis. Massage guy I know said to see him when I wanted it fixed. Finally, I did. He said the damaged tendon formed adhesion in the sheath and they needed to be broken free.

Worked amazing well. I was probably 90% the next day. Worked on my Achilles tendon as well. "Golfer's elbow"...not so much until I figured out how I was injuring it lifting.

YMMV

Have you gone to a freaking doctor yet? what have they tried, if you have?

yep, I've been to several Doctors and physios. Massage, stretching, ice, heat, voltaren all help. I tried lots of rest for my left arm for a few weeks but it really didn't help. The last physio I saw thought that the problems in my neck were the reason my arms don't get better but I'm not convinced. I suspect with the right amount of activity, no aggravation and almost daily treatment it would get better but it's hard to achieve. So I'm just trying to find what other people have experienced.
