Chrome OS issue

I have an Samsung C12 Chromebook here and whenever I start it up it gives me the error "Chrome OS is missing or damaged. Please inset a recovery USB stick or SD card."

I have tried using various builds of chrome OS on the internet via the usb drive and win32 disk imager. Every build I've tried the chromebook says its not Chrome OS on the drive. Any suggestions?
