It's a very good fan. In the reviews I read it performed close to if not better than the GlobalWins and Alphas (no flames please).

Two drawbacks:
1. It is a bit on the louder side. It's the fan itself, but the air coming out of those twisted fins, give it a slight whistling sound.
2. The Original Golden Orb, which had the twist type clip, needed a hereculean effort to fix. The Socket A version doesn't have this horrible clip. But if you're using the KT7, you will have to file it a bit, to make it fit.

I'm still using the orbs to overclock Celeron 366's to 550. So, I guess it should work for the Duron too.

Are we sure these are made by ThermalTake, or at least as good of quality. I know that there have been a lot of knock-offs, some of them performing pretty poorly. Granted Antec is a good name, but stranger things have happened.

Antec OEMs coolers from pretty reputable manufacturers.

If you see the link posted by Mday, you can tell that their PIII sloct cooler is Vantec's. I think their blue coolers are from Cooler Master if I am not mistaken. Therefore, I would not doubt that their orb is not a POS generic.

It is a very good deal as you can save on around $4 shipping which all the smaller guys dealing with coolers charge.

takhyon (the physics one is spelled 'tachyon' JSYK)

You only have to file the Super Orb in order to have it fit on the KT7.

The fans on these coolers are only 17cfm while the thermaltake are 22cfm... The Antec twist doesn't seem like it would be too good for overclocking.

The Taisol t-bird cooler looks pretty good. It's only 11.30 + 7.00 shipping. Unless people want to do another GROUP ORDER? kinda a hassel for the organizer though.
