Heh, I cant beleive the way Natedog can sit there and just "ingore" blatent proof and scientific evidence proving wot mike is saying to be right..

Seems to be Natedog thinks its wrong "just cos it is" without actually being able to give 1 decent reason WHY it could be wrong.

Ok morons. Be amazed by his "science," I really don't care. The ONLY thing that matters is that people have had some good success with the orbs. I NEVER said it was the best. Please, feel free to read all my posts in this thread, I never said that. I simply said, they are good for a cheap cooler and don't let mike scare you into thinking it will make your computer combust, because it won't. I could care less what any of you think about me........

In case you guys odn't see the other thread, i've gotten some results comparing internal diode celeron2 versus socket-thermistor(on the same setup) on the following heatsinks: FOP32-1, Chrome Orb, Super Orb, Taisol CEK733092.

Data on the BBS

Charts for Those who are blind ;)

And here's some numbers. A 1.1ghz t-bird at 1.85V would have a core temp around 70-80C with a C-orb. The S-orb is outperformed by the $11 Taisol unit.

AT 950, 1.8V(to mimic Anandtech results), you would get a core temperature with the c-orb around 65-70C, and the s-orb around 55-60C. This compares to "review" temps of 47C and 45C respectively.
