ugh, i do like chrome since it's ultra fast. but if i have to print something. i have to fire up firefox for the print preview.

Chrome, due to sandboxing, simpler viewing, easier searching, and more compatibility with the sites i visit. Also, firefox really has nothing special to offer other than all the extensions, which at this point I dont use any of.

firefox has many more extensions i use. chrome is good for gmail/reader etc. poor general browser if you use a lot of tabs though, degrades fast. and pages out rather too eagerly.

i had to look up what xmarks was and i have to say it does not sound all that great

and pretty much every browser even IE can have addblocking so its not really even worth mentioning as a + for anything

Adblocking before it loads the page though, that is where chrome fails.

You could compile it yourself......

I don't care how fast other browsers score in meaningless benchmarks, FF is plenty fast (never seems slow at all) and has the most useful extensions. I know Google just opened up extensions on Chrome, but they are poorly implemented so far.

Firefox by far. Chrome needs at least another 1 - 2 years to bake to be even close to where Firefox is. Chrome may be faster, but when it barely does 1/2 the functionality of FF, what's the point?

You guys ask a lot from your web browser. I just use the developer tools and look at web pages LOL.

I never got into the whole extension thing. I just don't go to websites with ads that are obtrusive. To each his own however.

I was a big safari fan until chrome. Chrome is a lot faster in launching and rendering on my mac, my linux box, and my windows vm. Plus the developer tools are just as good as firebug imho.

Firefox is faster than Chrome for me but not as fast as Opera.

This is because, I block ads and Chrome is a n00b at that.

Yea, if you hate tabs then chrome is out. It's tab based for good reason.

I don't think of chrome as having tabs. I think of it as having windows you can group together and pull apart. The plus side being each tab is it's own process. So one tab lagging or crashing won't bring down the whole browser. I also like that the incognito window doesn't change the entire browser into incognito mode like private browsing does on safari (not sure if firefox has this feature or how it works on firefox).

It exists on OSX, because it's built into the Operating systems print dialog window

All it does is save your bookmarks and makes it so you can access them anywhere. I pretty much don't even use it, but it is nice when changing computers or those times when you bookmarked something at home and want to show someone.

Firefox is still the browser for me. Chrome is ok. Tried Opera and it never suited me, but its been a while so I might try it again sometime. Same with Safari. Firefox just has worked the best for me for a long time so I stick with it as there's nothing that makes me not want to keep using it (performance is good).

I was using Chrome when I was back home a few days ago, mostly because my mom let Firefox get hijacked by some toolbar.

chrome, much because i've got FF locked down so much with script blockers and ad blockers and everything else i've made it into a b to operate.

that and chrome seems to give back resources properly.

Seriously though so long as you stay away from IE you can't really go wrong with any of the other browsers. They all have their strengths and weaknesses.
