Personally, I never found the attraction to Alienware products. Put an alien on it, charge 3x the price. They're not the Corvette of the computer industry, so don't charge Corvette prices!

Well the thing with computers is there really isn't a "Corvette" of the industry, since anyone could build a better system themselves if they so desired. My computer in a cardboard box could kill anything Alienware wants to sell, chrome case or not.

You can?t do that with cars, which is why owning a Corvette has meaning.

edit: btw: chroming the computer case along with a matching mouse and keyboard costs 1000

A Shaving Cream case dosent appeal to me... A plexiglass one does.

i never have like the plexi cases... the innards of a computer are something that means a lot to us computer guys but they aren't that cool to look at all the time... i dont even like window cutout case mods

I don't think that the case design matters to me any more since I plan to dump all my machines into the big closet and carry extension cables for monitor and keyboard/mouse.
