Need some help here. I'm shooting products, namely kitchen cabinet hardware. Some of the knobs, etc are chrome balls, as shiny as a mirror. Im using a softbox and and umbrella and tried everything I can think of, but I'm still getting a pretty clear reflection of myself and the two light sources. The lighten is pretty diffused, but it's still clearly reflecting. Any ideas or suggestion? Thanks!

Yeah, but that kills the whole look. It's extremely tedious work and there are many chrome/highly reflective products. There's got to be another way.

Just make sure you're wearing pants when you take the pictures ;)

Manage your reflections. Try using white foamcore to hide the camera and stands and you and whatnot. Strongly recommend Light: Science & Magic, couple chapters covering metals and reflection/highlight management.

you could try taking two shots, one underexposed, and merge them in a way that makes it look real

Doubt it'd be any faster than cloning, plus we already covered photoshop.

use a 4x5, shoot it like you shoot a mirror, actually pretty easy when you can shift the lensboard so it cant see you in th ereflection
