That's really a horrible reason to vote for someone...I'm not a Bush fan either but voting for someone based on a "polished exterior" is insane.

I completely agree!

(at the united nations...)
walken: sign this agreement!
u.n.: i'm sorry, but we will not!
walken: hey, you're talking to me all wrong here. it's the wrong tone. you better watch it, or i'll stab you in the face with a soldering iron.

He is "the man with the plan".
(Things to do in Denver when you are dead)

There is something about Walken for President that is a little too strange for me..

In a charming soft of way, it sounds like he'd make a *cool* president, however his campaign (unusually under the section "politics") is based on EXTREMELY vague positions and I don't know what he knows AT ALL regarding real politics.

Nevertheless.........taken at face value, I'd have to say that he's got a couple things in there that scare me.........

#1.) stable, tolerant
#2.) global society

Those eek of a "bend over" policy on trying to make everybody happy. That won't work as president. No matter what kind of president you are, you're gonna piss people off. And, yes, I also agree that if somebody like CW were to try & create a "global society" we're gonna just start pandering to those who threaten what the United States stands for.

Let's reverse rolls with China & give them all our cars & start riding bicycles here in the states.

Oh, and let's tell those Asian and Middle Eastern countries that we're sorry........they can go ahead & start makin' nukes. And, heck, if they need any plans for makin' 'em, we can fax 'em right over. We've got 'em layin' around here somewhere!!

And to spoil the fun even further.........here's my idea of a good president for '08.....

#1.) Tell America to WAKE THE FK UP!!!!!!!!
#2.) Secure our borders.....ASAP!!!!
#3.) Create jobs in the US (this is about a 10 pager, but in a nutshell, ideally quit outsourcing for simply $$$ and instead focus on higher quality and quicker delivery. Yes, it will cost more........F'n DEAL WITH IT & your kids will have jobs in the decades to come!)
#4.) Benefits (welfare, etc) reform! (NO MORE FREE F'N LUNCH!!!! #2 will go hand-in-hand with this and reap mutual benefits from this as well)
#5.) Start bio-diesel implementation NOW!! (If Hydrogen technology is too far away, then get biodiesel goin' NOW!! Give automaker's a VERY short window for exit strategy for gasoline engines and start creating bio fuel that we can create here in the US and in limitless quantities!!!!!
#6.) FLAT TAX!!! (I've pondered this one a while and I believe the only way to know if it's truly better will be to simply implement it! Then everyone will know for certain how much the top tier wealthy are willing to participate in a national economy if they have more of their money to spend!)

And, no, I don't think that somebody like myself would ever get elected! America's too soft. They couldn't handle it!

If I were to vote a guy into Presidency today it would be Tom McClintock!! Yes, he's Republican, but you'd hardly know it reading his stance on just about anything! This F'3r would slap this country into shape so fast folks wouldn't know what hit 'em!!

* Hello, little man. Boy, I sure heard a bunch about you. See, I was a good friend of your Daddy's. We were in that Hanoi pit-of-he11 over five years together. Hopefully, you'll never have to experience this yourself, but when two men are in a situation like me and your Daddy were, for as long as we were, you take on certain responsibilities of the other. If it had been me, who had not made it, Major Coolidge would be talkin' right now to my son, Jim. But the way it worked out is I'm talkin' to you, Butch. I got somethin' for you.

* This watch I got here was first purchased by your great-granddaddy. It was bought during the First World War in a little general store in Knoxville, Tennessee. It was bought by Privat Ernie Coolidge the day he set sail for France. It was your great-granddaddy's war watch, made by the first company to ever make wristwatches. You see, up until then, people just carried pocketwatches. Your great-granddaddy wore that watch every day he was in the war. Then when he had done his duty, he went home to your great-grandmother, took the watch off his wrist and put it an ol' coffee can. And in that can it stayed 'til your grandfather Dane Coolidge was called upon by his country to go overseas and fight again, this time against the Japanese.

* This time they called it World War Two. Your great-granddaddy gave it to your granddad for good luck. Unfortunately, Dane's luck wasn't as good as his dad's. Your granddad was a Marine and he was killed at the battle of Wake Island. Your granddad was facing death and he knew it. None of those boys had any illusions about ever leavin' that island alive. So three days before the Japanese took the island, your 22-year-old grandfather asked a crewman on an Air Corps transport plane named Winocki, a man he had never met before in his life, to deliver to his infant son, who he had never seen in the flesh, his gold watch. Three days later, your grandfather was dead. But Winocki kept his word. After the war was over, he paid a visit to your grandmother, delivering to your infant father, his Dad's gold watch. This watch.

* This watch was on your Daddy's wrist when his plane was shot down over Hanoi. He was captured and put in a North Vietnamese prison camp. Now he knew if the g00ks ever saw the watch it'd be confiscated. Taken away. The way your Daddy looked at it, this watch was your birthright. He'd be d*mned if any slopeheads were gonna put their greasy yella hands on his boy's birthright. So he hid it, in the one place he knew he could hide something; his a$$. Five long years he wore this watch, up his a$$. Then, just before he died of amoebic dysentery, he gave me the watch. I hid this uncomfortable hunk of metal up my a$$ for two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you.

I don't see how liking Walken as an actor translates into voting for him as President.

This is America, remember?

To young to remember Reagan eh??
Reagan and Arnold.

It's time for a DECENT actor to lead this country!
