I've just finished the book, and I was wondering if I should watch the movie.
Have anyone read the book?
it's written by John Grisham (surprise!)
hehe, I donno if this is his only non-law book, but it was quite an entertaining read. I think Grisham has an obsession w/ the carribean and tanned ladies w/ long legs, and young people groping each other... (There's always that female character who's got that perfect tan w/ long legs in a lot of his book)
anyways that's besides the point.
If you haven't read the book, read it. It's a pretty nice short story (177 pages long, took 2 full days to read). You get to hate every single character in the book. But then in the end, you like 'em all. The book is very cliche'd yes, but christmas was always about cliche'd stories and feelgood stories.
it's a good adult christmas book, so yeah go read it.
BTW, why'd they chance the title from "Skipping Christmas" to "Christmas with the Kranks?"
In their first preview, it was called skippingxmas, now they've changed it.
anyways, those of you who read both book saw the movie, should i shell out $10 bucks to watch it? it's got pretty bad reviews, but some people who've seen it say it's a pretty decent movie. Your usual mindless entertainment...
