Eugene bans Christmas Trees
>>
A city in the US has banned Christmas trees from public spaces to recognise "diversity" in its population.

Eugene in Oregon has become the first city in the nation to take the politically-correct step this year.

It has decided to stop traditional yuletide trees in public areas to "practice diversity" and recognise its have different faiths.

Is banning every form of expression the only way to recognize diversity? It's going to be a cheerless world when the lawyers get through with it.
I can see it now, say Merry Christmas to the wrong person and get sued.

Merry Christmas to all AT.

Heh! That make perfect sense!

Let's show how much we support diversity by not allowing people to celebrate however they want!

It's about time they banned Christmas trees. It's a waste of taxpayer money cleaning up the mess every year.

i think it would be a good idea to ban any Christmas trees that the government in that area pays for or agrees to set up, as state and church are supposed to be separate, right? if they did that they would and should have to display every other religious symbol of the people in that area, right down to the last person. now as for displaying them on houses and such in people's private property, it's just stupid, imho
