Christmas Songs

Well it's that time of year again and for me , being a decorator, it's been that time of year since 1st November. I notice in the stores they always play this really crappy and sappy Xmas music so....I decided to compile a killer xmas cd and I ask your help in reminding me of all that good Christmas music that's out there. I don't mind a few sappy Bing Crosby white Christmas type songs because they are indeed a part of Christmas and do solicit some good childhood memories. The only thing I don't want is some " Slap my Bitch upside the head for Xmas" type rap...just good vibes.

So far I have:
Little st.Nick..............Beachboys
Jinglebell rock.............B.Lee
Winter wonderland...........A.Lennox
Sleighride..................J.Mathis
So this is Xmas.............J.Lennon
White Xmas(Home Alone 2)...Drifters

And then my mind went blank...who can suggest some more?

Snoopy and the Red Baron! Sorry, I can't think of the formal name or the group that did it, I'll have to check my Christmas music and see.

I always need to hear Elvis Presley sing Blue Christmas, my mother used to torture me with that song, and now it's a tradition. 😉

Lennon's Happy Xmas (War is Over) is definitely my favorite of the ones you listed. For an illustration of the difference between John and Paul, d/l Wonderful Christmastime. Cheesy, classic 70's McCartney. 🙂

I usually like choral music for christmas songs, like the King's Singers or Chanticleer or groups like that. Classical guitar stuff is good too.

Smoothie....thanx That was one I would,ve missed.

GF.....HaHHaaalll haaave ha blooooo, blooooo crismiss, wi howt choo..😉

This could be good...I just found Little Drummerboy/Silent Night by Jimi Hendrix.... God.....please make them be instrumentals...😉

Bryan Duncan, "Form of Man". Heh, just get the whole Bryan Duncan "Christmas is Jesus" CD, it is simply fantastic. He is a great vocalist and mixes up some traditional and some original stuff, it isn't just warmed-over remakes.

Put A Little Love In Your Heart (Annie Lennox & Al Green from Scrooged) 🙂
O Come, All Ye Faithful (Elvis Presley)

Joy To The World (Nat King Cole)
