My favourite part of Christmas is getting together with my family and watching movies.

The thread about the house in A Christmas Story got me thinking about classic Christmas movies. I figured I'd start a thread on Christmas movies. I used the [broken!] search function and could not find a similar discussion.

What are they? Have any you can add to this list?

1980s Classics (great comedic value):

-National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (definitely my personal favourite of the lot!)

No one mentioned "A Charlie Brown Christmas"? for shame. It has the greatest dance scene evar! yea yea..not really a movie but who cares.


Santa Claus: The Movie is an 80's x-mas flick (stars Dudley Moore and John Lithgow).
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (animated and live action)
Gremlins ..well..it takes place during christmas!

I always think of "Gremlins" when I think of Christmas movies.

I would also consider Home Alone a classic, not crap...
