Christmas Bonus

Do you get a Christmas bonus where you work? I just found out today that the job I just started doesn't give one. 🙁

We don't get a bonus, but we do get 2 weeks paid vacation during the holidays. Seems like a fair trade.

I have two jobs, one of them gives a (monetary) bonus, the other does not.

The job that does not give a monetary bonus does, however, set out candy and cookies and all kinds of things about a week before and a week after Christmas. Plus, the week after Christmas is very laid back. Not as good as a bonus, but better than nothing.

It's the end of the year here, and things are hectic. I don't get XMas bonus, I do however receive a bonus every month. 😀

No, but they added an extra weekly cash bonus to my commission for this month

We also had prizes, cash, gift cards etc... at the xmas party but I won nothing

got $100. apparently it goes up the longer you're here too.
no year end bonus this year though. got $2000 last year. kinda sucks.

Sure it's called the day off....seriously I work in retail. That is my bonus. Thankfully I will only work there for another week then I got a real job.

No, but we get a pretty good year end bonus. Our group got a bottle of wine from the boss today though. Now I just need a corkscrew...

$2000 Bonus
$2000/yr Raise

and to top it off, our cell phones are now being paid for by the company.

I love my job.

Yup! Our company gives you a christmas bonus the day before Thanksgiving and it is based off of years of service. They pay you [one month pay * (.10 * years of service)] but it maxes out at 5 years of service (50% of a months pay)

So if you make $3,000 a month and have been here for 5 years your Christmas bonus would be $1,500.

last year i got a $2000 bonus and a $3000/yr raise. i wonder what kind of raise i'll get this year. another $3k would be nice but I have a feeling it will be lower, possibly significantly lower.
