It's atheists who are always attacking Christians for no reasons and they leave Islam alone. Why the hypocrisy?

shehateme is one of the most intolerant posters here. I have owned her numerous times which is why she takes these cheapshots.

It's actually pretty rare for atheists to attack Christians without provocation, even on here. Attacks against Christians from atheists usually come in response to Christians trying to force their religious beliefs into laws. And seeing as followers of Islam hold almost no political power in the US (where most posters on here are from), there's little opportunity to attack. You don't see atheists attacing Christians as violent every time a single Christian commits a violent act, you often get Christians attacking the entirety of Islam when a single Muslim commits a violent act.

I don't know if you've ever used the phrase "I am a Christian" on here. But you've defended every horrible thing said or done by Christians that comes up as if Christians can do no wrong. It is clear you are a Christian who believes all Christians are automatically perfect. You are both wrong in that assessment, and thankfully for most Christians you are a horrible example of Christianity.

If someone doesn't agree with same sex marriage (even an atheist); then what? Are they wrong just because you say so?

I wasn't saying anything for or against SSM, I'm merely pointing out that one of many arguments made by religious people is false according to this study.

More to the point, Christians that I know don't expect a lack of trouble and never have.

Shouldn't try to make a serious point in a troll thread, but the downside of being human and having standards where sex is at once a commitment and a biological imperative, young people who are Christians see marriage as a free ticket to sex without consequences. They then are liable to pick poor choices for lifemates and eventually things just fall apart. There's some advantage in "try before you buy."

To add, though, they do attempt to hold themselves to higher moral standards, but in fairness, many non-believers and atheists hold Christians to standards they wouldn't hold themselves to... so in essence, they love linking to these studies to try and castigae all believers.

If they want to link to stuff like this, show me an atheist who has NEVER committed a crime, NEVER divorced, NEVER used drugs, never been arrested.

The same can really be said about white collar crime and violent crimes. Most white collar corruption and fraud, tax-evasion, child porn etc, are perpetrated by whites in America. Does that mean whites are inherently bad, or being black is an honest way of life, or better alternative?

Likewise, if I live in city where violent crimes are committed by blacks, does that mean that by being black, you're likely to be violent by default and being white is, by default, is a better alternative?

In my opinion, the two words are intertwined in regards to the subject be discussed. For instance, If one were to disagree about SSM they may be labeled intolerant by another or the opposite stance could be defined the same way. Also, you'll find no empirical evidence to support someone for SSM either.

Not only do they attack unprovoked ( as evident by the OP), they are very judgmental.

How many times do we hear, "believing in god is like believing in the celestial teapot", or "they're abusing their children with religious teaching"? They're basically saying religious people are stupid. A lot of this is clearly unprovoked. They also say that as if God doesn't exists for a certainty, which by defintion is only a belief.

Please, they aren't any better....

This world would be lot better off without religious extremism and atheist superiority. Both are cancers to society.

Anyway, this kind of superiority complex only breeds intolerance as well. Christians are also this way in many cases condeming non-believers to hell, also breeding intolerance to other views.
