Do you agree Frank Luter and other Christian conservatives like him need to be condemed for their bigotry and hate?

Better yet they should be condemned for not reading their bible.
1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all evil
Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
The real reason America is failing.

Reading the bible eh? Religion is open to interpretation, its human nature. This is not about christianity or islam or any particular religion, all religous texts are interpreted differently by the people reading them. U do know there were warrior popes that went to war, even though christianity is supposed to be peaceful. Ive met christians filled with hate towards nonchristians, & others that are'nt. They both profess to read the same book.

How I hate how church's try to make themselves relevant by saying hateful things that go against the teachings of their own faith.

The sooner the conservative party distances itself away from the evangelicals, maybe a choice can actually be had next election.

Fortunately Muslim fundies don't wield a large influence on any of our political parties.

I agree, but I still have had a sizable number of Muslims tell me I was going to burn in Hell because I was an atheist, and that if I didn't become a Muslim I was doomed.

Christians & jews say the same thing, whats ur point? All the Abrahamic religions have the same stance, if ure not a believer, ure going to hell. None of them are secretive about that, especially Christians. Atleast muslims acknowledge that christians & jews, as "people of the book", can still enter heaven ( "islam" in Arabic means to "surrender" one's self to Abrahamic god, which christians & jews do). Christians & jews dont acknowledge any of the others as being able to enter heaven.

From an atheist's perspective, watching jews, christians, & muslims argue who's right is like watching kids argue about which superhero is best. I prefer batman, but the other kid actually thinks spiderman is the best, & he's certainly going to hell for that.

Its pathetic.

Yes but christians do, & if they were'nt allowed to im sure we'd see plenty of christian militant groups. Heck the history of christianity has been militancy despite its "religion of peace".

Jews don't even believe in Hell. You don't know what you are even talking about. Many Christian sects do believe that Jews and Muslims will be able to enter heaven. Also many Muslims claim that Jews and Christians will burn in hell too for rejecting the prophet Muhammad.

From someone who is actually an atheist, I am sick of so called atheist like you are are actually little more than Anti Christian. You refuse to see they are all just as bad.

Nicely said. I am sick of these so called fake "atheists" who are only anti-Christian but wont dare say anything about the other religions. They are nothing but cowards.

lol yes im a fake atheist. The reality is ive encountered more christian fundies than muslim fundies in my life, thats why im more "anti christian" as u say. Lets be honest, the only reason north americans are christian is cause they were either brought up with, surrounded by it, or it was the only religion available to them. They never chose it after being offered the other religions. Same with all the other religions. Ure born in the middle east u'll end up muslim, born in the south of USA protestant, born in south america catholic etc etc. Atleast i CHOSE to be atheist after realizing how ridiculous religion is over the years (it didnt happen overnight, i used to be quite religous, but travelling and meeting good people that are also atheists made me realize religion is not only unnecessary, but finding similar patterns in all of them made me realize its all man made)

Whats the difference between myth & religion? Nothing, one is simply current while another is ancient. I personally prefer the story of Zeus & Hercules, atleast its more interesting.

And FYI, christians should fear atheisits way more than they do muslims. With muslims u argue trivial details about god even though u both believe in christ, with us u argue about the core of ur beliefs & for now ure tolerated.....i just hope for the day when ur beliefs are viewed with the same ridicule that zeus & hercules are now. That day will come

For fucks sake is there no one that you're not afraid of?

OMG the atheists are coming to get me.
OMG the muslims are coming to get me.
OMG the liberals are coming to get me.

Anyone else you feel the need to hide under your bed from?

Maybe we should start a scroll?

People Incorruptible wets the bed about at night. Hows that sound for a title?

I guess its ok to be a bigot, as long as you're bigoted against the "right" things.

Actually they do considering some have even got to meet obama in the white house. They also got Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer barred from CPAC

HomerJS, Frank Luter does not speak for all Christian conservatives, and thank goodness he doesn't. This is one of the reasons I do not attend a church that is a member of the SBC. I don't see in the Bible where one man should be given the power to speak for all people who call themselves Christians. I know that, officially, he is only president of the SBC, but there a lot of people like you who just assume he speaks for all of us.

Try telling Catholics that. You just described a type of cult.
