Yesterday was nice, today it's just hot...not that hot, but going from that drastic change in weather...

I guess they should hurry up and fix the ac at work?

Been really nice here in pullman the last couple of days. Really sunny and warm (for the time of year)... course it's still wicked cold at night.

No, it is no longer winter. Dividing up the 12 month year into the 4 seasons leaves you with the logical conclusion that March, April, May = spring.

My screwed up interpretations of the seasons based on California weather and the public school year looks like the following:

Spring: February, March, April, May
Summer: June, July, August
Fall: September, October, November
Winter: December, January

Winter doesn't really exist though and is mostly just included so people don't complain about it's absense. Spring is sort of different from fall/summer but it is mostly just a less-hot summer. Furthermore, summer doesn't start until June 15 or so when school gets out.

summer: other half of may, june, july, august, september
fall:eek:ctober november
winter: dec, jan

Stop telling people that. We'll have all those east coast folks out here.

Yes the weather has been great.

For the record, my natural gas bill was under $14 for last month's usage. Lovin' it.

My super-advanced weather forecasting methods:

Every summer blame the heat on global warming
Every winter blame the cold on global cooling
Every time there's an aberration, blame it on El Nino

We've been at record highs in the 70s all week. Rainfall and snowpack for the water year (which begins in October) is at about 25% of normal. Washington state has already declared (yesterday) a statewide drought emergency. Oregon is expected to follow shortly.

This is NOT a result of global warming. Instead it is because of an unusual El Nino, which this year has planted a fixed high pressure system over the Pacific NW, moving all moisture-laden cold fronts and low pressure systems carried by the jet stream either north or south of the area (which is why LA has had record rains and Tahoe record snowfall this year).

It sucks though IMO. Believe it or not, I really miss the rains....

81 here in Santa Clara, CA! But, there's rain on the forecast for next week. Enough with the rain already. I heard on the radio last week that the Bay Area has already had more rain YTD than Seattle.
