Chris Paul is a God

If Chris Paul is a god then what do you call Oscar Robertson? In 1961-62 Robertson AVERAGED 31 points, 11.4 assists and 12.5 rebounds for an entire season and he just barely missed averaging a season long triple double 4 other times. Once he missed with 31 points, 11 assists and 9.9 rebounds and another with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 9.7 assists. Long before a triple double became some sort of amazing rarity it was a rarity when Robertson didn't do it. Oscar did it 41 times in one season and amazingly Wilt Chamberlain did it 31 times one year including NINE STRAIGHT games.

Oscar Robertson and especially Wilt Chamberlain were men amongst boys.

Oscar Robertson is the only player in NBA history to get 10+ points, 10+ rebounds, 10+ assists, and 10+ steals. Chris Paul is the only player with a shot of that in the NBA right now.

wow i wish i had him on my fantasy team...
btw, what a game between the lakers and the spurs!!

SPURS BABY 03 05 07, let's make it 09 as well

And Wilt is the only guy ever to pull off the double triple double. 20+ points, 20+ assists and 20+ rebounds in a single game.

50 ppg season, 100 pts in a game, 4029 in a season ( and Jordan was 1000 below that ) = God.

Can't compare that era to this era. Too much skill variance back then

The average NBA player of the 1950's and 1960's is today's average high school player.

Sure. They're good for a western conference team. 😉

I really hope your not saying that the Eastern Conference is stronger than the West... Cause if you are, well you are an idiot

And here we have, folks, the classic example of someone pulling something straight out of their ass.

Watching videos of Chamberlain dunking over people 7 inches shorter than him who were the center for the other team is not impressive.

CP is great, love watching him play. It's like watching Skee-low(sp) having his song come true.

:music:

I wish I was little bit taller
I wish I was a baller
I wish I had a girl who looked good
I would call her
I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat
And a '64 Impala

Because Paul is a PG and Kobe is a SF playing SG. Paul's also not anywhere on the level of Kobe in terms of defense and clutch - and Kobe's not that clutch. And while he's talented, he's also arrogant and a little bitch - terrible attitude on the court.

Kobe or Paul? Though in reality you could be talking about around 90% of the guys in the NBA.

While Kobe's attitude is pretty bad, Paul is terrible about it. He should be getting a lot of T's with his reactions to calls, but he's quickly becoming a prince under LeBroom.
