lol, first the lakers, now the clippers, next thing you know he'll get traded to the Szechuan Chickens for Yao Ming's Visa endorsement contract and a vat of soy sauce.

and Stern will reject that too

Dont rule out china for big name players. They have started a shopping spree for good soccer talent for their big league. Basketball is next.

That's what they said about Russia and ice hockey. The reality is that a few players will go over but they won't be able to compete with the NBA for the most part.

this is flat-out ridiculous now

How was the package that the Knicks gave up to get Tyson Chandler? Is this a fantasy league now, where everyone votes the equality of the trade?

anyone else think stern is doing this so that he'll go to the knicks in the offseason?

Stern doesn't gain anything if Chris Paul goes to the Knicks; the Knicks already sell out their games. Stern's shopping the Hornets for potential buyers and they look a lot more attractive with a superstar on the roster. Unfortunately, it's a disgruntled superstar that is on his way out regardless... but that still doesn't give Stern incentive to try and move Paul towards New York rather than LA (and certainly not the Clippers who have been far worse than the Knicks for far longer). Stern's logic at this point makes exactly no sense; it's like he wants to live in a fantasy where Chris Paul stays in New Orleans rather than being the next LeBron or Melo. But that's just not the reality of the league. Superstars have long been able to force trades to more desirable locations; Clyde Drexler killed Blazers fans in the early 90s when he forced his way to the Rockets to win some championships. Stern's fantasy is complete control, and he's trying to exert it the only way he knows how, which has become woefully ineffective.

Paul is going to walk at the end of the season and NO gets squat. :awe:
