He was interviewing the VT shooter's suitemate and he kept trying to dig up a relationship between videogames and violence even after the interviewee negated any notion of that in 2 questions.

Time to wear some of my offensive gaming T-shirts and do my X-box360 dance in front of him as he walks to his car

Dude, you suck and should actually get your facts straight. Matthews had Jack Thompson on in the prior segment. Thompson kept spewing crap saying that the shooter was playing CS. Matthews ripped him a new one and told him that he didn't have any evidence.

So during the next segment, Matthews asked the guy who was a suitemate of the shooter if he played any video games like CS. The guy said he only say him working on Word documents. Matthews kept asking him various questions related to the shooter and gaming to discount Thompson.

The funny thing is I'm sure if he realized how much of his audience he is alienating with those types of comments he would have never said them. But like a lot of older media types, I bet he thinks video games are for kids and it's something he can rail against to appear hard hitting and uncompromising without actually facing any consequences.

edit, ok I didn't watch the segment. Take my post and apply it to other journalists who do that instead of Matthews specifically.

lol, someone needs to setup a controlled test to see just how much "training" counterstrike can give you. Find someone who is good at counterstrike has never shot a gun before and bring them to a shooting range and see how accurate they are without a mouse and keyboard... I don't know how the hell someone would train using counterstrike was the guy circle strafing around people while he shot?!
