I mean, maybe the intro about finding someone who got their life on track was bullshit, but who knows? The guy's past wasn't a secret so it didn't look like some "gotcha" setup. eh who fucking cares

why not just talk to him and tell him dateline was doing a piece on rehabilitation and they would like a sit down interview? Any rationale person would probably agree knowing that they can run the piece without their input anyway.


Seems to me that would have been the best way to go about it to avoid a scene.
 
When you said he "destroyed" Chris Hansen I was kind of hoping he actually made a cogent argument rather than just yelling mean things at him. I think you're just eager to see Chris Hansen "destroyed" if that's what you think you saw there.

This Hansen guy indeed looks like a douche. The daycare worker could have avoided all the swearing considering he was on camera though. 😛

Yeah, I'm not seeing Hansen destroyed here. Sure he's being a douchey douche, as always, but the guy completely fell in to his trap. I mean, he sees the cameras there, he's watched the shows; Chris Hansen never wants to sit and talk unless he's dug up dirt about you.

IMO neither of them came off very well. Hanson is ambushing a guy who probably has cleaned up his act and the guy gets caught lying and loses his cool very quickly.

I thought that how they went about the sting couldn't have been legal and opened to much for defense (seems i was right).

Hansen is a scumbag.. the reason he goes after pedos is that it is the only target justifiable with his scumbag type of journalism

he's an asshole for looking for issues. of course this dude isn't going to openly admit to his arrest record and whatnot. why did hansen try and make an issue out of this dude's life? he hasn't done anything wrong.

the dude's living his life as best he can, paid his debt to society, and all of a sudden, chris hansen walks in for reasons unknown to you... for all you know, he could be doing a story about local daycare centers or something. suddenly, the guy's past arrests and poor life choices from over a decade ago? for what purpose? what business does he have to do that?

how would you like to be minding your own business, being a good citizen, doing nothing to cause trouble whatsoever... then, chris hansen comes in and asks you about the person you were over a decade you were with cameras pointed at you. tell me you wouldn't feel violated...

for sure.. but compare to the Lotto commissioner guy. Lotto commissioner guy runs a major organization in NYC and is much better prepared to handle this kind of situation, OP guy doesn't really know how to react and just vents anger. He has every right to, of course, but squandered his chance to "DESTROY" Hansen.

I don't think anyone's arguing with you there, just that the day care guy is a poor, and disappointing example of putting Hansen in his place. That state lottery guy is much better.
