Hi,

I have a dell latitude d600, and recently i reformated.

Since the reformate when i play madden 2004 (which worked perfectly fine beforehand) gets choppy after about 4 minutes of play... same with counter-strike.

I have all the curent drivers off the dell site, all the windows updates and direct x 9c.

anyone have ideas of what it could be?

it plays videos perfectly fine...

thanks,
stephen b

What kinds of components do you have? (Video card, sound card, etc.)

You might have better luck downloading the latest drivers direct from the hardware manufacturer's website, instead of Dell's website. Sometimes what the system retailer has to offer is out of date.

It does sound like a driver issue of some sort, since the only change you made was reformatting. I would try different drivers and see if that fixes the problem. And post more detailed specs.

K, i have
whatever the onboard soundcard is
ATI radeon 9000 pro 32mb mobile
Pentium M 1.3 ghz
512 mb ram
Fujitsu MHT2040AH hard drive

i looked on the manufacturer site for the video card, and i have the latest, i have the latest for the harddrive aswell... couldnt find anything else really... ive even tried using the drivers i had prior to reformating... i think it was pretty much the previous version of each.
