choosing TV adapter

hi:
i have made a similar post at general hardware... hope i can get more help here...
--- want to pick a BUDGET (around $50) TV adapters that will WORK FINE UNDER WINDOWS XP...
any suggestions?
thanks in advance

I have ATI TV Wonder VE and I am happy with it until a month later I have not had much use it. But ATI TV Wonder VE does not support digital tv cable so I am stuck with it.

So it is up to you if you are going to watch tv on your computer all the times...

Just uninstalled ATI TV Wonder (does not work well with WinXP) and installed Leadtek Winfast TV2000 XP and it is superior. I paid $110 CND or about $65 USD.

thanks! finally someone telling me that this leadtek would work under WIN XP...
i need the TV tuner b/c im in college and i have this free cable in my room and no TV... ARRR NBA FINALS...
TV would cost like $80 + tax... so i would go for a CLEAR TV tuner with more features for around $50...

I would go with the Leadtek card too. It's going to be more featurerich than the ATI TV Wonder and probably give you less stress with the drivers as well. I would either go with that or if you want to spend a bit more money look at one of the Hauppauges cards.

i've been looking for a while and i came up with 3 choices:
1) Aver TV --- $40 on newegg
2) Hauppauge WINTV GO--- ~$50 on pricewatch
3) Leadtek --- $65 on newegg
the leadtek seems to have the most features and a remote...
i would jump on any deal on these cards or even a 13 inch TV...
thanks for the opinions guys looks like leadtek for me 😀
