From the list above, which should I get? Had a 7970 go bad and they're offering "credit" equal almost to the 380. My most graphic demanding computer runs 2 U2415 with one playing a windowed game and the other monitor watching TV or doing a browser game.

I would spend the extra $100 dollars then and go with this:

Diamond Radeon R9 390 PCIE GDDR5 8GB Memory Graphics Video Card

THAT would be a nice upgrade over your old card! :)

hell, paid the 100$ and get the 390. 100$ for 30% or more performance gains is pretty great imo.

the 390 seems like the card to get.

Any way to add a poll to an existing thread. Would like one for Who Sucks More: AMD or Diamond.

I still don't have the 390. After calling again to check in, this time I was told diamond has pulled their 390/390x because AMD won't sell them anymore.

So I ask the guy what I am supposed to do about my replacement, and he then says well we've got a 295x or fury nano.....which would be nice if it was a free substitution and not me paying their full retail price for them. But then he mentions they have a couple 6 or 5 thousand cards still, oh the comedy. I guess he's doing an inventory search while i'm on the line just silent laughing and says it looks like he has 'a' 380, but he'll have to give me a call back with price/detail.

Would have strongly rather paid a little bit a gain in video power, and now i'm looking to at least try and scavenge to the point I was at.

While I'm cleaning my knife against the wrist, how "good" is the nano? From the little I remember reading before it seemed you were taking a $ for them making the smaller/quieter card but haven't really kept up on things. No way I'm going to touch that 295x but guess I have time to decide between 380 and nano by the time they call back.

And thank you AMD.

Nano is great, especially if its close to or almost free!!!

Only thing you need to do is make sure its not suffocating and it will run very fast.

What are the cards they have available to chose from now?

Link in the OP gives me:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getProducts() on a non-object in /home/diam81/public_html/components/com_mijoshop/opencart/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-catalog_controller_common_header.php on line 503

Just goes to show you how terrible Diamond is when their website doesn't work properly.

They just redid the site to remove the 390 series which is why the link went bad.

I've got a 200$ credit, which means it would be about 20 for the 380 and 300 for the nano.

Oh.. well crap.. not sure then... those are the only two options?

380 is about equal to what you currently are running, not sure why they'd charge you at all for it.

Many moons ago when this process started they had almost the full line from 290 and up, was debating between 390 and 390x, decided to take 390. Except while everything getting processed they sold out of their 390 and 390x stock and most other cards since. Instead f giving a card at least as good as I had in their current lineup they give a credit so my options have been somewhat limited by what I could 'buy'.

They also have the 295x (lol) and a couple 6 and 5 thousand series.

how much is the 295x? If its like $50-100 would be a good deal, even when CFX doesn't work its a beastly card and would be an upgrade from your 7970. Stay away from anything pre-7000 though, 200 series minimum really.

Bahahahaha really? Thats... more than launch price people found them for $600...

So yeah, try to get them to lower the Nano price or give you a 2/390. Worst case the 380 for free.

Ya, think I'll call up today and try to get at least a little discount on the nano for waiting so long to be getting anything back.

Got the nano and installed it last night. Uninstalled the drivers I had but probably shouldn't have bothered as it reinstalled the same I had. And it didn't get me the icon to access the settings menu so I had to reinstall about a half dozen times till it did.

Use DDU in safe mode then install latest 16.3.2 after rebooting. Enjoy the Nano!

That is what I did. Had to then reinstall several times in order to get the control panel icon to be visible.
