Choosing My Default Hard Drive

Hi,

I just build my new computer and I installed windows on the SSD Hard Drive.
When I try to download my programs like skype, steam etc. It defaults to downloading on the SSD Hard Drive. Is it possible to make it so that files default to downloading on the regular hard drive and make it so that I choose to download the file to the SSD?

Thanks!

( If this makes no sense at all, let me know 😛 )

Depends on the program, some remember where you last saved to, some dont. Windows itself doesn't really have a "Default Drive" setting.

Go to properties/advanced tab then go down to the enviroment variables button in My Computer

Change both the TEMP and TMP paths to the hard drive you want to use.

Also, you can go into Tools in Internet Explorer and put all your temporary internet files to your hard drive if you so desire.

You can also relocate your Libraries to the hard drive, at least if you are using Win7.
