I am thinking of buying a new laptop and I am in doubt between two models. I live in Brazil, and prices here are astonishingly high. In addition, there is no wide availability like in the U.S. so I cannot simply choose model "X" instead of the two mentioned below. It is basically the two of them.

Price is very similar for both of them. The LG Gram has a larger screen and seems to have better battery life, but the Dell XPS 13 has a sharper and brighter screen. Any recommendation from real-life usage?

Hard to say, it depends what you want to use it for. Other things to consider is the Dell has a slightly better CPU and twice the storage capacity, as well as a higher res screen, but also fewer ports.

According to specifications The Lg Gram 17 is a better option, As Performance, display , gaming experience and battery life is better in gram 17 as compared to dell xps.
I think you should go for LG gram as there is not much difference in price but you will get a better device.

LG laptop CS will probably be no better than Dell, especially in S. America.
You have an ultra portable, and a wider laptop.

Native resolution for font stenciling on the Dell is going to look horrible. You have a 4K screen smashed into what is smaller than the recommended 15.6" 4K screen, even the ThinkPad X1 Yoga with the 4K screen is extremely microscopic.
If you're viewing high resolution photos and videos, and need something compact, then choose the Dell.

Should you want to enjoy the larger screen, but don't need 4K, then get the LG laptop.

If you truly want to save money and need the upgrades over aesthetics, just get a real workstation laptop that offers better modularity upgrades than the Dell or LG listed above.
Lenovo ThinkPads are widely available, almost everywhere in the world.

LG. Screw Dell and their CS.

Thank you for the advice.

I ended up going with the LG Gram 17, as I found it for sale. It is a great laptop, and I think I like its build better than the Dell XPS.

By the way, I already have a desktop. This laptop will be my companion for traveling. I had other laptops with smaller screens, but this large screen is great for multi-tasking.
