Choosing A Video Card

I'm not real a really picky gamer, even when I'm playing on my dad's computer with a really good video card, I usually lower the settings to about medium and turning the anti-alias completely off, would this benefit me If i end up getting the 5670 512MB?

I just started playing Blur and Split second. COD,4,WAW,Modern warefare2 I finished a while back.

I play Split Second/Blur at the highest settings @ 1600x1200 with my 5750.
A 5670 is a good card for these games and should run it just fine.

By the way Blur sucks! Split Second is one of the best race games I've played in a while.🙂

EDIT: FYI, HELL NO MAN 😛. Blur get's really intense if you plan out what you're going to do, but Split Second is pretty good, and better 😛, but Blur is right underneath it 😉

even on high settings at 1600x900 there are only 3 or 4 games that will surpass 512mb of vram and thats usually with 4x AA or more too. so yes a 5670 512mb seems to be the right card for you.

How do I check to see if my CPU has that?

Run this video in 720p. Its the 5670 running Split Second. Looks much nicer.

I'll give Blur another try. I played a few levels and thought it sucked. I'm on episode 5 in Split second and It just keeps getting better.🙂

Your Dell will run the card just fine ,no worries there.
The 5670 card uses little power.

you can just open up your case ans look at the power supply. its probably a 300 watt psu with around 18amps for the 12v. thats plenty for your very basic pc with a 5670.

The installation should be easy right? I watched some youtube videos, and all they do is plug in the video card, and install the drivers.

You might have to disable the integrated graphics in your bios.

Other then that yea, just install card and drivers.
Make sure you get the latest drivers off the AMD web site.

Yeah I heard about that, there are problems with running two graphics card right?

you might have to go into bios and set pci-e as the video display.

as you have seen in the videos you need to disable(not uninstall) your onboard video in the device manger. then turn off the pc install the card, connect your your monitor cable and reboot. then install drivers and you are done.

Yes, you have intel integrated graphics on board your mother board.
It's the worst graphics in the world. The 5670 is 10x better.
