Im kinda in between 3 different phones but feel free to offer advice on others as well. Im oversees and will need a gsm smartphone but I dont reallly have any intention to be downloading any game apps. I guess I just dont get interested in any games. What i will be doing in surfing the web along with taking pictures.

The first phone I like is the Samsung focus its 180 bucks has a good operating system and very good screen. I like the price alot but am concerned about apps. This is my first smartphone so in all honesty I dont know what apps I want but i do know that wp7 doesnt have nearly what android or ios have.

LG optimus 2x is another phone I like due to the price and the fact its dual core. The screen is so so but it runs android and will have plenty of apps. the phone goes for 300 dollars.

The final phone is samsung galaxy s2 which is a wonder phone in every aspect except the price. It runs close to $500.

I guess my question is whether or not the focus will be all that i need or are there really any huge advantages to dual core if you dont play games?

if you are to be taking a lot of pics get the GS2 it has one of the best cameras of any smartphone

You'll definitely enjoy the bigger/better screen of the SGS2 as well as the superior camera. The Focus S will have both, if you can wait, though I don't know how much cheaper it will be.

See if you can find a SE Xperia Arc,it should be fairly cheap now,it has an outstanding camera and a beautiful screen.

As always, there is something better around the corner. Personally I would wait to see what Nokia releases as far WP7 and a good camera next week.
