hey ...

here's the deal ... im using the Dell 2000FP lcd on my gateway 6400 (only has pci slots)...

i wanted to put in a good pci vidcard that uses something other than vga ....

the reason being ... i want to hook up my ultra sparc to the same monitor and use the vga on that

so my options are a pci card with either DVI or s-video or component input

here's one i found .... Inno3D tornado geforce 2 mx pci w/dvi ... but i dont know how good or bad it is ?

how bout this one ?
e-GeForce2 MX400 PCI TwinView Plus

suggestions ?

Thanks

Eh, with DVI quality of the board doesn't matter when it comes to 2d. If you're looking for performance, i'd get the Radeon PCI. If not than the Geforce2MX200 will suffice.

The Radeon all in wonder PCI is like, 160$ but it has pretty good performance. Go and look up the performance of a Radeon SDR in anandtech's comparisons and you'll see what I mean. Anyways...

It like, *only* has DVI. You'll have to use a DVI to VGA adapter to get it to work in VGA mode.. 🙂
