Question Choice of memory for MSI B450M MORTAR MAX

Hi guys, I'm planning an upgrade from an i5 2500k (long overdue) to this config:

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600X (and in 1-2 years I plan to upgrade it to 3000 or 4000)
MB: MSI B450M MORTAR MAX (because it already has the updated Bios for Ryzen 3000, if I upgrade again)

And now my dilemma, which of these kits of ram (2x8) is the best option for my build (these are my only options and best prices in my country):

1. G.Skill Aegis DDR4 16GB 3200MHz CL16 (F4-3200C16D-16GIS) = 65 €
2. G.Skill RipV K2 DDR4 3200MHz 16GB CL16 (F4-3200C16D-16GVKB) = 71 €
3. G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 16 GB 3200 MHz, CL16 (F4-3200C16D-16GVGB) = 71 €

For the first 3 kits I found info that they are all compatible with my MB, but for these next 2 I can't find compatibility info:
4. PATRIOT 16GB Viper 4 DDR4 3200MHz CL16 (PV416G320C6K) = 69 €
5. PATRIOT 16GB Viper Steel DDR4 3600MHz CL17 (PVS416G360C7K) = 82 €

So basically I have 2 questions:

A. Are the 2 Patriot kits compatible with my MB?
B. Which kit would be the best for now and future proofing? I want to buy the 3600MHz kit, even if I will only be able to use it now up to 3466MHz with Ryzen 5 2600X.

If someone can help me with this I would very much appreciate it.

Maybe, there is no way of knowing until you try them. This is the reason for the QVL.

Future proofing is not the way to go money wise. You have no way of predicting if the memory will b e compatible with your next build.

I would like to know, before I buy them, preferably from someone who has this setup or tested them, or maybe knows some site with this info...
I've checked both MSI MB page > https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450M-MORTAR-MAX#support-mem-19
and Patriot memory finder page > http://finder.patriotmemory.com/memory-finder
and those 2 kits don't show up anywhere. So yeah, QVL is all nice and good, but I didn't find info about those kits...

And about future proofing, how can my memory kit not be compatible if I'll change the 2600x for a 3600x (after 1 year, same MB, same memory kit)? If it works on 2600x it will most likely work on the 3600x too...

I’ve had success with Gskill TridentZ 3200 kits with my 2400G and 3400G machines, 16gb kit in one and 32gb kit in the other.

XMP enabled running at the spec’d 3200 speed with no issues.

Can you tell me what MB do you have?
Also did you try OC-ing them? I'd like to do that up to 3466MHz on 2600x.

I've been using the GSKill Trident RGB DDR4-3600 ("for AMD") CAS 18-22-22-xx, 1.35V @ Newegg . Yeah, they're RGB, kind neat with a windowed case, but they also work @ XMP (aka DOCP in Asus boards) with my Ryzen R5 3600 CPU, in an Asus B450-F ROG STRIX Gaming ATX mobo, with newest BIOS of course. (1.0.0.3ABBA, but they worked with any of the 1.0.0.3-series BIOS releases.)

I just checked prices from where I am and Gskill Trident Z 3200 is 80€ and Gskill Trident Z 3600 is 102€ . So my best option still is PATRIOT 16GB Viper Steel DDR4 3600MHz CL17 (PVS416G360C7K) at 82 €.

I did more searching and apparently these are pretty good memory kits and I found out info about OK-ing them on a different tech forum.
Am I allowed to post links to other forums here?

Mine runs with a 2400g in one machine and a 3400g in another, not OC’d, just with XMP enabled to run the retail speeds.

The boards are an Asrock B450 Fatality ITX, and an MSI B450 I Gaming plus AC (ITX).

Thanks, I ended up ordering a different kit than those mentioned in this post: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR4 3000 CL15.
I found a complete guide with the MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX (which is basically the same as Mortar Max) and with that kit it can OC over 4000MHz (memory OC).

Again I don't know if I'm allowed to post links to other forums in this forum, so no link for now, but I'll update this topic with my build once it arrives and what I manage to do with it.
