which one to choose between Thermaltake Volcano 11+ and the Thermaltake Volcano 7+ ????

xp2100 , mobo A7V333-X ,512 pc2100...

Neither, I'd get an SK7 / SLK800 and a decent 80mm fan. Both are far better than those Tt heatsinks.

But of the 2 you mentioned, I'd go with the 11. It's the newer version and larger.

Seriously, both of the Thermalrights should perform better than the 2 Thermaltakes you listed while OCing or not. If you already have the Thermaltakes I would go with the 11.

Get yourself an SLK800 or SK7, they will both perform better than the Volcano's, but if you are set on the Volcano, get the 11+

ThermalRight is very expensive .ok i`ll go for the volcano 11+...it`s about half the price of the ThermalRight....

i forgot to mention which is the quietest ??? huh ... i prefer quiet and performance(cooling) ...which of these can provide best result ???

bro

even the AX-7 by thermalright is better----17.99

at svc or case-mod.com--THERMALRIGHT is the way to go

absolutely everyone in this thread is confirming it and there speaking from exsperience

i d go stock before thermaltake--just my opinion

KILLLLLLAAAAAAAA

I had (still have it in a box..) a Volcano 7 (not 7+) and I had it on my XP1800+ @ XP2000+ speeds. I cut off the thermal sensor so that the fan would run full speed all the time (really loud). It worked, got ~35C temps at full speed, but was really loud. I just recently put it on my fan bus (switches, not a rheobus) so I can have High/Low/Off. At low, I was getting close to 50C temps after not a long time (all temps are full processor load--Folding@Home) with it at low. Even more recently, I bought an SLK-800 from my friend, and now I get ~40C with the low fan setting (very quiet from what I'm used to) and ~31C on full.

Get a ThermalRight, or else you'll get frustrated with the ThermalTake after a while and will want to get a ThermalRight anyways

the noise of the SLK800 seems to be louder that thermaltake ??? Noise Level: 52.5 dBA... does it comes with fan control ???

you can just use a different fan, or get a ~$2-4 hi/medium/low switch or something like that. Or, you could do a 7v mod to it where you restrict the power that goes into the fan (7v for example) so it'll spin a lot slower giving less noise.

Ummm, if I recall correctly the SLK800's arn't sold with a fan. Anyways the above advice is correct.

if you wanna use less money buy thermalright ax-7....i had it before slk-800 and it's equal efective as slk-800 with low speed fans....but with delta fan (the loud one) slk-800 beats x-7 with a big margin....
