chkdisk

For some reason chkdisk keeps scanning my D drive when I restart my computer I am running win XP Pro and It won't allow me to defrag the drive bercause It says I have chkdsk scheduled for the next re boot. IT started when I when to the properties of the drive and actually told it to do chkdsk and it did it fine with all 5 steps now it is just a 3 step thing that may only last like 10-15 seconds but is really annoying any one know how I can stop this stupid thing from happening?

Okay I tried that but it says I have to dismount the drive becauyse I have my page file on that partition so it says it can schedule one the next time it reboots. Alright what the hell I will try it so it does chkdsk then it does it AGAIN!!! WTF ??? how the heck can I turn this off? any one thanks

move your pagefile to a different partition first... then do the dos thing again. then defrag right after. mine was doing the same thing out of nowhere... weird.

I searched on google and a TON of others had it happen recently too. They offered a redistry edit and for some reason the value was told to run chkdsk every boot up I just set it to 0 and it works perfect now thanks though !!
