Ok, I'm a little confused. Whyt does everyone refer to their t-bird as the AXIA? What is the AXIA? Is it the 266 FSB or what?
Pleas help!

AXIA is the code on the Tbird's core. Tbirds with AXIA core can be overclocked better.

AXIA is the core designation for the chip, like CCO is the designation for certain Intel chips say (700e CCO) refers to a particular manufactured batch of chips... AXIA's are said to be good OC'ers...

These AXIA markings are the first 4 letters of the second line of markings on the core of the processor itself.

Other steppings include AVIA, AXHA, etc.

AXIA is the newest stepping....the other two steppings that I have listed are slightly older. Overclocking results are supposed to be the best with the AXIA stepping, although Compuwiz1 says that sometimes the other steppings do just as well, or even better.
