chipset help

😕ah, the good old days, life was simple. how much amd clock you could afford and then just pick the latest nvidia chipset. i am not an intel guy but i have to admit defeat and go with conroe in my current upgrade, e6600 or e6700. my questoin is this, which chipset do i go with? i do not need sli or crossfire, but i want the hottest, best overclockable chipset out there. what do you guys recommend?

In terms of pure clock speed I'd say the 965 or P35 Intel chipsets.

the P35's are pretty new and from what ive seen so far the seem very nice and ocable and not to expensive. $120-$250. Id probably go with this one if you dont need xf or sli

the DQ6 has a better HS for the NB, but you probably wont need it with a e6600 or e6700.

If you do not need sli and want the hottest chipset out, definitely go with the P35 chipset. I love my P5k Deluxe.
