Chipped a couple teeth yesterday

Ate a frisbee to the mouth yesterday playing ultimate and I didn't think I'd knocked anything out, but when I was brushing my teeth last night I noticed my right canine is missing the very tip. Also the right front tooth has a very tiny chip out of the corner, unnoticable unless you look very closely.

I actually ate a smoothie right after the game and didn't notice anything so I don't think the nerves are exposed, but is there anything specific I should do to protect the teeth? Is a cap necessary even without pain?

...hence my question. Is it even necessary to go to the dentist for a small chip?

A dentist should be able to grind it out so there are no sharp edges. Or maybe they could stick something there to fill it.

Rubber cement the chipped spots up. Don't swallow the rubber cement.

i broke my top front tooth in half. he put a matching cap over it so now nobody can tell which tooth had been broken

in summary: see a dentist.

its usualy for comfort and cosmetics. The dentist will most likely use a tool that looks like a dremel and grind down the tooth so that there are no sharp corners.

I've had a chipped incisor since junior high (1983, maybe?). Don't worry about it.

See a dentist. You probably have no more enamel covering the tooth where it chipped, why risk tooth decay by avoiding seeing a dentist? I chipped more out of one of my teeth a few weeks ago, was just 1-hour & $150 to take care of everything. It's not like you're looking at outragiously expensive bills like at a hospital.
