Chipotle raised their guac prices :(

Good thing I dont like guacamole.

Also, I should think that anything they charge extra for would be better done at home. Sometimes taco joints dont give me all the cheese I'd like. I always keep shredded cheese in the house anyway for Doritos, so its no big deal to just add a little more of my own.

You can cuddle my guac shorty.

Most of the country's avocado crop is grown in California. The drought is causing higher prices on food.

this. There has actually been talk that they will just phase out guacamole entirely. For now, at least.

Also, the majority percentage of the world Lime supply is entirely under control of Mexican drug cartels right now. Prices have been skyrocketing for farmers, so expect anything lime-based to take a huge hit.

that being said, I never get their guac because it's always been expensive.

doesnt suprise me,look at the direction america is going.its only a matter of time before the 1st and 2nd ammendments are no longer what they used to be

your paranoia feeds the corporate overlords that are paying for your vote.

The national avocado supply is shot to shit right now. This isn't really surprising news.

I don't get the complaints about Chipotle's offerings being expensive. I pay $7 and some change for a more than filling burrito bowl, piled high with all sorts of delicious shit.

Looks at username.

Looks at location.

There better not be a Freebirds where you live now.

:hmm:

I thought that too.

Any Aggie worth their salt should be able to put together a better Freebird than the average person. I get complimented on my combination almost every time I go.

I was merely making a joke that a certain school known for it's architectural prowess, and the oldest architectural program in Texas shouldn't have large bonfires it builds fall over on them.

Let's bear in mind that my username was created when I was in high school 😀

You're god damn right there's a Freebirds nearby. All about a Monster with carnitas on spinach drenched in queso (or a Super Monster if I feel like truly hating myself).

Why that's absolutely outrageous. In protest, I will not to to Chipotle until they reverse that policy!

Wait...I don't go to Chipotle anyway...carry on with price increase.

It is amazing when people get upset when a company raises the cost of a product, as if people with fancy degrees hadn't already factored in their margins the % of customers who will be priced out of the Guacamole club.

Actually, they're not.
But thats OK.

You do realize that this is exactly why avocado-related products will be going up in price, right, and why Chipotle is even considering removing it form their menus entirely?

also, what I mentioned about limes earlier is also true. Hold on to your butts, people! D:

Yeah, limes are nuts. Plus guac has lime juice in it (at least it should), so it's like a double increase!

Avocados I buy are just now coming from the US again. During the winter/fall, they all come from South America.

They are also grown in regions of CA that aren't necessarily as hurt by the water reduction in the central valley.
