Chipotle raised their guac prices :(

$2 now near me now. Pretty exorbitant for a spoonful, no? Burrito prices stayed the same, oddly. Guess I'll be going guac-less in the future.

Yes, I'm having a slow work day 🙂

Chipotle has always charged a lot for guac imo. At Qdoba and Pancheros its maybe $1.10 to add guac? Chipotle has always been around $2+. Though if you get guac, then add lettuce sometimes they won't see the guac (for bowls at least) 😉

Most of the country's avocado crop is grown in California. The drought is causing higher prices on food.

I typically order my burritos with guac and sour cream. I don't know how much more expensive it is, but to me, it's worth it.

I like Chipotle a lot, but it's pretty expensive for a "fast food" burrito bowl. Double steak and guacamole costs like $12 or more.

I am boycotting Chipolte due to their gun policy. If I wore short sleeves, I'm sure I'd be asked to leave immediately!

The national avocado supply is shot to shit right now. This isn't really surprising news.

I don't get the complaints about Chipotle's offerings being expensive. I pay $7 and some change for a more than filling burrito bowl, piled high with all sorts of delicious shit.

Chipolte can eat a dick.

They cut back the portion sizes a while ago in NYC. And, their food no longer tastes great. They are a shadow of their former selves.

My friend said the same thing. I frankly don't blame them a bit after the yahoos they had to deal with. I'll still go.

The yahoos? Two guys, in one store, carrying legal guns is enough to ban all guns? That is beyond stupid and a completely moronic knee jerk reaction to an imaginary problem. They can do it all the want, and I can not go there. I try and not support stupid things done by companies, when possible.

But, even with that, I was using their no gun policy as a joke to reference my arms. =)

I'm in the minority, but I don't think their guacamole is even that good. My wife makes guacamole at home once in a while ... I have no idea what she puts in it (avacado, jalapeno, tomato, and lime juice for sure), but it's 10x better than the few times I've tried it at Chipotle.

Home guacamole is almost always better than anything you can get out in the world, but as far as, essentially, fast food guac goes, theirs is pretty darn good.

Good thing I dont like guacamole.

Also, I should think that anything they charge extra for would be better done at home. Sometimes taco joints dont give me all the cheese I'd like. I always keep shredded cheese in the house anyway for Doritos, so its no big deal to just add a little more of my own.

Is it ok if I keep a bag of guacamole in my pocket? How long is it good for?

Chipotle is packed here today. Burrito prices went up, steak and barbacoa are now $7.20, with guac at $1.95.

Probably because New York has been on a health kick the last several years. See: Cigarettes, large sodas, etc.
