Chipotle challenge - can anyone here eat that much Chipotle?

Yeah, it was different days. Went on the first day, July 1st, and asked for the card at the register as I was paying. I thought the cashier swiped it along with my order, but he may have just handed it to me, or it didn't register when he swiped it. The receipt doesn't say it was swiped, but I didn't know it would since it was the first time. Then I registered the card later and it said I had no visits. The second visit on July 5th showed my name on the receipt and that I had 1 point which confirmed it.

The email I got from Chipotle said they added the visit, but won't be able to do it again, which I understand since it could be abused. I'm satisfied with the result though because it was purely trust and good service, since I had paid in cash, so there was no record of the transaction to look up, and they didn't ask to see the receipts or anything.

Same thing happened to me.

I think the issue is the registration instructions aren't clear. If you just picked up the card on the day of your first purchase, then you haven't registered it yet so it's not active (can't be swiped). Your first purchase counts only after you register your card. I haven't emailed them to count my first purchase yet, but I still have the receipt so I might.

Register online to get a digitial card. Its what I did. You just take a pictute of a barcode.

Oddly enough, I don't disapprove of this. Denny's is just fine for what it is.
Though I've never forgiven them for discontinuing the Breakfast Dagwood.
Of course, these days it would be multiple meals for me.

Maybe things are different regionally, but at my local store they were able to swipe on my first purchase before registration. It then did show up when I registered the card.
 
stuck at 5. went in for one on monday, the cashier tried to give me my free reward one for hitting mild after i'd tried to pay for it, everything cancelled out and i guess i didn't pay for that one. went in yesterday, this time it did apply the free mild one but that didn't count as number 6. going to make it real hard to get this done with vacation for the next 9 days.
 
I've done my 4, waiting to redeem my free one to get to 5. I'm right about where I need to be...
 
I reached Medium status today (8). Next one is free, then just two more for the month.

I decided to just get a water with it from now on which should save me about $50.
 
I got my free meal + free chips/guac already for the minimum investment. So I can either stop here and stay on top, or suck it up and power through, at the risk of ruining chipotle for myself forever...
