No, Chipotle doesn't suck because it's not really Mexican. I don't care about that. It sucks because it's just not good. Had it twice in two different Chipotle restaurants and the meat was bland both times and the rice wasn't good either. Sure the burrito was big but that's about it. Barbacoa is not supposed to be bland at all.

My local place is good. The barbacoa is spicy and flavorful.

Rice is awesome.

I think your local restaurant just sucks.

Taste is a subjective thing, so I can't say you're wrong as this is your opinion. I run a beer store and by far the most popular selling, and according to the majority of customers best tasting beer is Budweiser. By a margin of about 20:1

so your comment doesn't surprise me.

This is a good way to get customers back into their restaurants :)thumbsup: to their Marketing department).

especially the whole 'catering for 20' bonus.

gets office workers to scheme to make it happen.
these schemers gets others in the office involved and peak their interest in the outcome.

they might spread their excitement of getting this bonus to their friends and family.
everyone involved will be thinking chipotle for the next 3 months of this promo.

brilliant

Fortunately, I can pick up Yuengling Black & Tan as cheap or cheaper than Buttwipers locally :)

The new Murica labeling for the 4th was kind interesting to see yesterday in the store, looks Pabst even went retro and hipster both on labeling on different things for the holiday.

Sorry, back on track.

I haven't been to Chipotle yet, but my understanding is that you can just give them your account number for your purchases to qualify.

In that case, wouldn't it be easy to just share that code amongst your co-workers, friends, or family?

Some Chipotle locations are good, some are still okay but very bland. There is lots of variation in the product since it's all made from scratch, and by minimum wage workers on top of that.

I eat Chipotle every-single-day during the week (at a good location that actually salts the food and puts a char on the meat) because it's the only thing besides bad fast food where I work. I will definitely be getting lots of rewards from this.

This is tempting, I live in a subdivision right next to a Chipotle, I've always thought the food was OK. I don't think after 27 burritos I would care for free catering though.

You poor kids complaining about how Chipotle is bad. You would have never survived growing up in the 80's, when the only taco place around was Taco Bell.

I get that Chipotle might not be the same level as your boutique foodie A+++ Mexican food shop of choice, but it's a massive step up from the alternative fast food Mexican food.

I like taco bell. especially when my brother and my friends worked there when they were kids. we used to get the hookup on free food. i still can taste the custom chicken burritos they made with extra chicken, sour cream, and tons of bacon. :D

No its not. We have a regional chain here in the Southwest called Del Taco and I'd much rather eat there than Chipotle and Del Taco is fast food Mexican.

Del Taco? THE Del Taco? With the Double Del Cheeseburger?

Del Taco is definitely a decent value, but I seriously can't comprehend how you could prefer it to Chipotle. You're saying if you were offered a free Chipotle burrito or a free Classic beef/chicken burrito from Del Taco, you're choosing the latter?

I mean it's all personal taste obviously, but they are worlds apart in my opinion.

I think it's already been said, but why is Chipotle being compared to local mexican places? Isn't that exactly the same thing as comparing Pizza Hut to a local pizza joint?

Because this board is filled with fucking retards who take every opportunity to get on their soapbox to 'show off' how 'cultured' they are.

Fuck off. I grew up in San Antonio, and have lived in Texas my entire life. I know what legitimate TexMex and real Mexican food are, and I will still go to Chipotle. It's quick and delicious.

If you say it's bland, you're a god damn liar. If you hate it so much much, fuck off out of the thread, take your pudgy ass down to your local mom and pop taqueria of bullshit, and fill your face with your precious food. Maybe afterwards, take some time to walk onto the nearest interstate and stand there for a few moments until a sizable vehicle takes you out.

i'd probably choose 4 chicken soft tacos over a chipotle burrito, but i'd choose chipotle chicken hard tacos over regular del taco tacos

but del taco is open 24 hrs and has taco tuesdays/thursdays, so there's that.

Hell yea because the burritos I had St Chipotle were extremely bland and overpriced. I don't mind paying if it's really good but for me it was tasteless.

Visit 1 in the bag. They had a guy going through the line promoting the rewards program so they don't hold up the line at the register. At the register, all they just said was "would you like a rewards card?" You have to register it online, so I didn't get free chips and guac today.
Well, had visit 2 today, but the receipt only shows it's my first visit. Maybe they didn't swipe my card the first time. I'll have to check the receipt when I get home, then responsibly raise hell
