Chip Temp

What's the "norm" for a pc chip tempature?

Mine is at 75F 28C, but sometimes hits 91F 32C.

No probs with the pc - just wondering.

what chip? no way 32c is CPU temp and thats even low for a northbridge.

Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 / 2.66 GHz.

Default Chip that came with my Dell XPS 710.

i would not believe whatever program is telling you your CPU is running at 32c while under load.

For intel chips realtemp is a good free temp program.

32C sounds about right for just idling?

I wouldn't be worried, unless you're hitting maybe 70C and above.
