Nope, the US military couldn't handle the amount of soldiers that China has without nuclear weaponry, but China has nukes as well so that's pretty much MAD.

That's pure BS....Taiwan is about as far as China could get it's army. They have no appreciable Navy. They can't get off their own continent where they can be conventionally bombed into the stone age. If they want to play with nukes they still lose.

The bigger question is why would China want to go to war with the US? Without the US to sell it's products to a large part of China's economy collapses. Get a reality grip, China NEEDS the US.

Alot of people make the argument that China has soldiers 10-1 to USA. problem isnt the soldiers, its gettting them into the US. USA has a nuclear shield and any form of transportation that included enemy soldiers in mass would be blown out of the sky or out of the water before they ever got close, even if the first few vessels got by. China and their soldiers will never be a threat. And no nukes, cause china knows if they throw one over the pond, they'll get more than one in return.

We have pledged to "save" taiwan. All it takes is more soldiers . We've been there.

I take it you don't know the real history...just the version that China feeds it's people...

This isn't just Taiwan, even some of the mainlanders have a problem with unification. There are over 50 different nations and cultures in China, and not all of them are so thrilled about being called Chinese, especially not under it's current government.

It would play out a much different than the cold war but the fact is the US won't do anything.
