These symbols aren't specifically chinese, but they are derived from chinese script so some of them might be understandable.

Can you read any of them.

They are actually all Chinese, just not used frequently. You find those words mostly in religious scriptures. I think a lot of them were created specifically because of Buddhism.

This isn't all chinese right.

those are 'old style' chinese that is used in really archaic Buddhist chant. Some Buddisht monks will be able to read it, but the meaning may not translated properly into the modern world.

btw: the first pic looks fine, but doesn't quite make sense.

Most bizzare thing is, here is an english translation. They are translation of this text, but they both very different translations.

1st.

A hundred years in this life span on earth/
talent and destiny are apt to feud./
You must go through a play of ebb and flow/
and watch such things as make you sick at heart/
Is it so strange that losses balance gains? /

2nd.

A hundred years of human existence,
Prodigy and fate intertwined in conflicts,
Mulberry fields turned into open sea,
Enough's been seen to melt the heart.
Little wonder that beauty begets misery,
For Blue Heaven's jealous of exquisite glamour!

They are similar but also very different. Odd really.
